How to request your official export file from Instagram:

  1. Open Instagram > Go to your profile > Tap the top-right hamburger menu.
  2. Tap Accounts Center > Your information and permissions > Export your information.
  3. Choose Export to device > Select only followers and following (builds much faster).
  4. Crucial: Under Format, select JSON (not HTML).
  5. Instagram will email you a download link when ready. Save and drop the archive here!
